No more IV!!

Gabriel got his IV out early today, so now he is getting all his food from the breastmilk! He is even latching on and trying to suckle when we go in to feed him. His bilirubin is at 13, so he is under the blue lights, but we expected that to happen. I am guessing he will be under the lights until at least tommorrow sometime to get his levels back to normal. We are just excited about no more IV fluids. Now he has his oxygen monitor taped to his foot, and two heart monitors on his chest to check for respiration and pulse....and that's it! We forgot to charge the camera, so no new pics. We will take pics and a little video tonight when we feed him. He is so alert when we wake him up to eat....he looks all around at us and trys to suck his fingers. We do the Kangaroo care, so he is skin to skin against my chest.

Oh, and he has gained a bit of weight. Of course he lost some at first, but yesterday he was at 3 lbs 8.4 oz, and then last night he was at 3 lbs 8.9 oz! I know not a huge gain, but every little bit is good and means he is growing.
