Car ride home...not so good

Gabriel HATES the car. At first I thought it was his seat, so we changed him from the baby carrier to the convertible seat. Nope, he still hates the car. He was ok for the drive there, he only cried a tiny bit just after the Bay Bridge. The ride home was hell. He was ok for about 15 minutes, and then cried, no, screamed for about 1 1/2 hours, then was ok for about 10 minutes, then cried for the last 10 minutes home. I don't know what to do, I have tried nursing him (yes, he is still strapped into his carseat...don't ask) and he is ok until I stop and then he screams until he pukes up everything he ate. I don't try that anymore. I try sitting in the back with him and touching him, talking to him, generally trying to soothe him and it all fails. This is new for me, Ethan and Isabella would just nap in the car no problem, I would even take a drive on purpose if Isabella wouldn't nap, just to get her to fall asleep.

Isabella consoling Gabriel and relaxing him enough to stop crying for 10 minutes.

He might be smiling now, but look at those eyes, red rimmed and teary :(

Back to crying, his normal car behavior
