Academy of Sciences

We went to the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco today. They just reopened it after remodeling and it looks fantastic! My favorite exhibit was the rain forest. Looking up you could see tons of butterflies fluttering everywhere. I even saw a huge one land on a ladies hand and stay there for almost a minute before it flew off again. Ethan liked the planetarium show Fragile Planet (they don't allow children under 7 to watch, so Isabella, Gabe and I didn't see it). John said he fell asleep, but he falls asleep all the time, lol. I think Isabellas favorite part was the butterflies and the penguins (real live penguins in African Hall)

Here is Ethan in front of an African diorama, I don't remember which one. Most of these displays are stuffed, but some are real live animals.

Wow, I'll bet you had a great time. Sorry to hear about your ride home. You and your sister always went to sleep in the car.
Love ya

Dave was reading over my shoulder and when he read John fell asleep we both chuckled, he said "yeah he borders on narcolepsy" I had to bust out laughing. That man can fall asleep anywhere.

Glad you guys had a good time, can't wait till we go in a few weeks.

Ok, in Johns defense he was really tired because we didn't sleep well the night before and we got up early to drive. Oh, and it was dark with reclining seats, hehe.

We were there Monday the 27th.
