I knew from the start of this pregnancy that I would want to use a carrier to "wear" the baby. I was planning on making one of these http://www.attachedtobaby.com/BabyHawk-Mei-Tai-Carrier-P3C4.aspx but never got around to it, and then Gabriel came early and now I just don't have the energy to do any sewing. Plus, he ended up being way too small for a mei tei. Instead I ordered a stretchy wrap, and we love it. There are many different wraps, and this one is called Sleepy Wrap. It is so easy to use because it's stretchy. I am going to order a Mei Tei still, and use it when Gabriel gets a bit bigger. I have found that the knit fabric from this wrap keeps us really hot though so for summer time I am going to order this one at www.gypsymama.com (the Bali Baby Breeze in Orion). I can't wait to get it and learn all the different ways to wrap and carry.
