Photoshop Elements

I am really loving Photoshop Elements when I have the time to play around with pictures. I have A LOT to learn, but so far I am having fun with it. Here is a picture I took on Saturday while I was playing around with the settings on the camera. We have a pretty good point and shoot, well, pretty good for 5 years ago anyway (hopefully maybe I will get a new one for anniversary or Christmas *hint*hint*). Our pictures need just a little bit of help sometimes though. This picture of John and Gabe is OK, but the background is really washed out.



So I adjusted the shadows and highlights a bit, and then just quickly used the burn tool to darken the water and cliff.

I know a professional could make this picture look REALLY good, but for now I like it.
