Moss Beach, take 2

Last time we went to Moss Beach it was really spur of the moment and we got there during High Tide. I did some research and found that the best time to go was around Thanksgiving, and more research showed low tide to be at 11:40am. But as the saying goes, the best laid plans of mice and men often go astray....and they did. Needless to say we arrived later than we wanted and got there as the tide was already making its way back in. We still got to see some cool anemone, a few starfish and lots of crabs! Afterwards we didn't want to go back home right away so we took a trip to Target for new shoes and socks (ahem...if you go tidepooling with children plan for their feet to get wet!) and then off to the zoo!

I don't know what kind of sea critter this was, but Isabella found it. You can definitely see fins so I am thinking some sort of fish?

So, just how do their feet get wet?
