Every Sunday morning we have pancakes. This has been our tradition now for almost a year, and we love it! Isabella loves to help cook, and lately she has been doing most of the mixing for the pancakes. She can measure the flour, sugar and baking powder, whisk the eggs, butter and milk, and mix the dry and wet ingredients together. The only thing I have to help her with is cracking the eggs and pouring the milk. I am hoping that in 2 or 3 years she can do it all, even the cooking!

The best part of sunday morning pancakes is the round of joke telling by the kids after we are done eating. Ethan is getting much better at telling his jokes (although he sometimes gives the punch line with the beginning). Isabella on the other hand just cracks herself up, and we end up laughing at her, laughing at her joke. They always start out with "knock knock" and end up with "why did the (chicken, frog, flower, tooth, etc....) cross the road". By the time she gets better with her jokes, I'm sure Gabriel will be cracking himself up with the knock knocks that only he understands the punch line.
